Terms of Service

These terms are between you and CarbeneAI, LLC ("CarbeneAI," "we," or "us"), a Texas limited liability company and the company behind carbene.ai, kit.carbene.ai, cyberdefensetactics.com, and kit.cyberdefensetactics.com. Cyber Defense Tactics (CDT) is a practice of CarbeneAI, LLC, not a separate company, and CarbeneAI, LLC is the contracting and selling party for every CDT product and service. By using the sites, downloading a kit, or buying a product, you agree to these terms, the Refund Policy, and the Privacy Policy. If you accept for a company, you confirm you can bind it.

• Free kits: licensed to one organization for internal use. No client use.
• Team Edition: a one-time digital download licensed to one organization for internal use. Each file is stamped with the buyer's name, email, and order ID. No updates or new scenarios are included.
• Partner Edition and Partner Plus: for consultants, MSPs, and vendors who use the kit with clients, licensed only under a separate, signed two-way partner agreement. Partner Plus is a standalone license and does not require Partner Edition. That agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms. Nothing on the sites grants client-use rights by itself.
• Consulting engagements (for example a Full-Day AI Strategy Workshop, a Half-Day AI Strategy Workshop, Ongoing AI Advisory, or a facilitated exercise) are governed by their own signed agreement.
• Open frameworks we publish on GitHub carry their own license, not these terms.

We own the kits. You get only the rights listed above. Do not resell, share, publish, or redistribute a kit or a download link. Do not remove license stamps, file properties, or notices, and do not use a kit to build a competing product. If you break the license, it ends and you must delete the files. Third-party frameworks named in the kits (such as NIST, MITRE, and OWASP) belong to their owners, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Prices are in US dollars and shown when you order. Stripe processes card payments, and tax is added where we are registered to collect it. At checkout you confirm that you accept these terms and the Refund Policy. We email your download link to the address you give at checkout, usually within minutes. Links expire after 7 days and work for 5 downloads; write to us for a new one. We keep delivery records (order ID, when the email was sent, and the time, IP address, and browser of each download) to confirm delivery and handle billing disputes. We may refuse or cancel an order, and refund it, if we suspect fraud or misuse.

Digital kits are final sale once delivered. Defective files are replaced, and duplicate charges are refunded. See the Refund Policy. Partner refunds follow the partner agreement.

Do not break the law, attack or probe our sites or any system you are not authorized to test, use bots to submit forms or sign up others, or try to get files you did not buy. Report security problems to contact@carbene.ai and give us reasonable time to fix them.

The sites and kits are educational and the scenarios are fictional. They are not legal, regulatory, compliance, insurance, or audit advice, and they do not make you compliant or secure. You are responsible for your own decisions.

Everything we provide is "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability is the amount you paid for the product in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. You will reimburse us for claims that come from your breach of these terms or the kit license.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Rockwall County, Texas, and you agree to those courts' jurisdiction.

We may update these terms; the version posted here applies from the date at the top. A change does not take away license rights you already bought. These terms, the Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy, and any signed agreement with us are the whole agreement on this subject. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. License restrictions, ownership, disclaimers, and limits on liability survive the end of a license.
